Sunday August 30th we took mom and Opal to a small airfield just out of St. Charles. Looked at some old planes and small flyer's. It was a little cool for the last of August but otherwise a beautiful day.

It was pretty interesting all the guns they had mounted in these planes.

Mother was more than dumbfounded that this lady was painted on the side of the plane.

On Saturday 29th we had dropped mom off at JD's and Edies. They went over to Bill's and mother really enjoyed her day. Roger, Austin, Jerry and I went jug fishing on the Missouri River. Actually I sat in the back of the boat and read while the boys fished. We caught 6 blue cat and brought them home to replenish our pond from all the fish we lost in June. It was a beautiful day. Who would of thought it was the end of August. We were out on the river from 7:30 till 3 p.m. and no sunburn.
