Just a reminder for the family...... Carrie is getting married on May 2, 2009 in NY I think. They have a web site if you would like to check it out and send her a note. The web site is www.rocco-and-carrie-wedding.com Wish we could go but that weekend we are at the lake and it just would not work out for us. I know everyone is busy and it's hard to schedule around our large family but again......... in case you don't know we are at Stockton Lake every year from late April through May. My hubby is pretty flexible about some things and others he's not. We have to schedule our spot at the lake a year in advance.
This is the same view over the back yard toward the subdivision next door. 6 hours later and most of the snow is gone. See I told you I was mowing the grass yesterday. We bought a new mower. What we paid for it was more than my first new car which was a 1984 Chevette. Unreal. Most of the flower survived which I'm thankful. We did not attempt to get out earlier. Opal is with us this weekend and the moms were playing games. Now they have laid down for an afternoon siesta. Guess I'd better try and get a few things done while they are napping.
March 29, 2009 We've had a beautiful week with warm weather. Taking the dogs for a run and this is what we woke up to this morning. Haven't heard exactly how much we received but with the temps so warm it will not last long.
This is looking out across the back yard to the subdivision next door. You would not know that yesterday we were mowing the grass that was about 2 inches too high.
This is the view of the pond. Guess the mallards went somewhere else today.
March has had its highs and lows for tempertures. We have enjoyed the nicer weather. This is the bradford tree inthe back yard in full bloom. It is not as beautiful as it should be as we had a storm bust out a huge branch a couple of years ago.
The flowers are blooming with the promise of spring. Roger and I have been working in the garden as well as trying to get the yard in condiditon for spring.

St. Pat's Day 2009
This is Tom he is part of Mom's Speech Therapy Group. He looks great. Wish you could read all the buttons on his suspenders. Laughter is good for the soul and they do a lot of it in class.
This is the group that was there today. Fran, Leah, Tom, Ed and Mother. All dressed for St. Pat's day. Fran brought them a small cake that had a shamrock on it.

I'm not sure of the name of the town, I just know that Steve and Amy have a place on the water about 6 hours south of Dallas. So even in February the water is warm enough to catch some BIG fish.
Are you paying attention to the BIG GRIN? The boy is happy.
Roger had taken a camera but it blew out of the boat. Thank goodness Steve had a camera. PS Roger's was disposal. TYL. Boys! No way was I sending my camera with him.
I forgot how much this sucker weighed. You'll have to check with Roger the next time you see him.
This one, I think he said was a trout. They are much lighter in color down in Texas.
See the Longoria kiddos

Sunday, March 15, 2009. Charley would have been 70 today. Mom and I talked about it some. Sarah had driven to KC to pickup Jennifer's children for a visit over spring break. They stopped and had dinner with us and played on hand of Mexican Train with Grandma.
Everyone enjoyed the visit. Austin, Ashley and Makaylee are growing up so fast. I know they will enjoy their week with Grandpa and Grandma. Spring where or where are you? I'm so ready for some warm days. Roger had left the 26 of February and flew to Dallas to go fishing with his friend Steve
I'll have to import a photo for you later. Got home on the 2 of March to leave again on the 8th to go to Toledo Bend for their annual fishing trip. He will get home this Saturday. I'm so ready
to see him.

to see him.
This is a shot of one of our flowers that is blooming. I have spent the last several years trying to get some planted around each tree. I've almost succeeded. It's so nice to look out and see them around the yard. This week our weather has been great I just hope it stays warm. I've spent the last several weeks trying to keep the fires going so mother would be warm enough. Any of you who heat with wood know what I'm talking about. (That is if anyone besides us does that any more. Also, with Roger gone so much I have read three novels these past couple of weeks. Something I have not done in over a decade.
