For mom's 89 birthday we flew to Ca to be with Floyd and Doris for a week. We had so much fun. Mom did real well on the flight and all. Kinda stressful for me... the traveling part. We had to fly to KC change planes and stopped in Las Vegas and on to Sacramento where they picked us up.

While we were there John, Abby and Madison came up. This is Madison Hauck at 7 months. What a joy.

Floyd and Doris took us to the Kearney estate. It is very beautiful. I throughly enjoyed this as Roger and I had gone through Donnor Pass back in 2004 on our way home from Ca. We had read the book and therefore knowing some of the history made it all the more enjoyable.

This is a group shot on Sunday. Jason is Floyd's oldest grandson, his wife Debbie and their daughter Laina (Lana) with John, Abby, Madison and mother.

Madison is such a happy little girl. She warmed up to all of us very quickly. Everyone throughly enjoyed their visit. We were so happy they took the time to come up as I don't think mom could of handled the drive to where they live in Redland, Ca.

This is the Kearney mansion. Huge for the time it was built.
